Today's lesson is on fractions.
This lesson is going to be conducted using the learning centre approach.
There will be many stations for you to go to and a certain time limit will be imposed. Therefore, it is important for you to be on task.
Before we start, let's do a short activity. Click on 'tangram.doc' to start the activity.
Tuning In
Now let's start lesson proper. You will be given some pattern blocks for some of the activities as shown below. Therefore you need to know the names of the pattern blocks and their properties. Click on 'knowing more about the pattern blocks' to find out more. After that, fill up worksheet pg 1.
What's going to happen in the next 45 minutes?
There are altogether 6 activities for you to be carried out next. Therefore, distribute yourself equally into 6 groups.
Half of the class will be assigned to do the computer activity while the other half will be doing hands-on activities.
